They are still fighting a political battle in their state. I would guess that if Colorado were to go through with the mag ban, they would join ranks with the ban to those states. Politically speaking, joining the ban at this point would kill all hopes of remaining in Colorado.

The Marines banned them because the new M-27 doesn't like feeding from most polymer mags, but Magpul says the Gen 3's work fine while the Gen 2's had some problems.

Here's an explanation of why they're not stopping the sale to those states.

LINK

quote:

With our distribution model, it would be difficult to enforce such a blanket policy, and would be a symbolic gesture. Just as it is difficult to stop $50 and $100 PMAGs at the retail level from resellers that buy through multiple levels of distribution, stopping sales to specific end-users would be almost impossible for the same reasons . . .

quote:

On the other side of this, we have seen the efforts of the Larimer County Sheriff and others in the CO Sheriffs’ Association, who have been incredible advocates for the Second Amendment here in the fight we are currently in. If a ban passes, these guys would be the ones hurt, and the politicians wouldn’t care. They would also be on our side. On the same front, about 600 of the NYSP have come out in protest of the NY SAFE act and in support of responsible Citizens and the 2A, at the risk of losing their jobs, their retirement, and the safety of their families. Are these the guys that we want to punish? Lumping all individual officers together and wanting to punish them all is no different than politicians who want to punish responsible Citizens for the behavior of criminals. Would a check box on the LE/MIL order form affirming 2A support for all Citizens make a difference? How many out there click on “I Accept” for terms and agreements before an iOS update without reading or caring what they are? Would anyone NOT click such a box? Chuck Schumer would even click that box if he was trying to order PMAGs. (We wouldn’t ship that one.)

Tons of the big companies are still selling to LEO, it's not a big deal. A lot of the bigger boys have huge portion of their revenue that comes form LEO sales.

Magpul has already threatened to leave the state. That's probably as far as they can go without costing their company and employees money.

I get the whole not selling to ban states thing but it really kinda aggravates me with all these couch cag operators sleeping on piles of Pmags getting pissy with Military guys getting an "express lane".

I dont believe that they should get the express lane but I am not upset over it. I actually didnt know that there was an express lane and since you put it in quotes I am not sure that there is actually one. I might have missed the joke/statement.

I am sorry for your loss of mags though. When I opened that thread last week, I was hoping to read a joke or funny story.

I am, however, that Botach has not been found guilty of a capital crime and all of them been killed. I sent them 2 more emails today that were strongly worded. I am sure I will get the same automatic response tomorrow.

I filed a complaint with the BBB because Botach was selling PMAGS without filling back orders first. And wouldn't you know they had upped the price
