His North Florida team beat UF last night and is 6-2 after taking series from WVU and the Citadel.

His conference rival just finished a weekend sweep of Florida before UNF got them on Tuesday. Let's not go crazy celebrating that win.

That's a good job for him, Laval did well at ULM and is a good directional school fit for the way he runs his program.
At LSU he let the program slip, was not disciplined with the players and it showed.
He did not engage the community and fanbase.
There's nothing wrong with Smoke's coaching style but it was not working at LSU - all you had to do was look at the team in 2007. It was brutal to watch that team with no pitching and no offense.

Oh I know, and FGCU just dropped a game to FAU, but I'd be curious to see if they can keep it up. No matter how bad Florida is, that road sweep is going to look real nice on the RPI come May.

Sammy's is considering opening up a restaurant there since he was their top customer here, at least in volume of food eaten in one setting.
