I want to buy my dad an 1880s colt pistol, but I have no idea where to start looking for a real one.
Any ideas?

A SAA or just any 1800's colt?
You'll have to shop around for a while to find a good deal.
Gunsamerica.com probably has some

Can you show me pictures of the differences? I don't know what the difference is.

I assume SSA is Single Action? If that is the question then yes, I want a 6 shooter, single action.

That link I posted has plenty of them.
You won't find an 1880's one that pretty though, unless you want to mortgage your house for it.
They still make them FWIW. You can get a brand new one for about $1250

Unless your father is a collector I would probably not spend the money on a quality 1st Gen SAA but instead focus in on the later 2nd and 3rd Gen guns from the 1950's til today.
I know a little about Colt single actions. What is you approximate budget?

There are problems with the 'gun' posted above. I don't think it is real.
ETA: Not real.

My lord those are high dollar.

I could easily turn this into a Single Action Army fap thread.

Well they are all original first generation colts, some with ivory grips which adds a ton to the value.
Brand new ones aren't much over 1k
Weagle, do it.
