I eat supper. Idk who eats their dinner late at night unless you didn't go into work until noon which means your food schedule is just fricked up period.

Pretty "dinner" is just the biggest meal of the day, so I never have supper b/c the biggest meal of the day is always "dinner" at supper time. Supper sounds gay anyway

I say dinner. Supper sounds so old-fashioned.

Last meal is supper.

That's because everyone is at the table and Mom and Dad say " 'sup?"

Dinner and supper are interchangeable for the last meal in the evening. Lunch is, well, lunch!

I know some will argue, but that's how I call it!

That is what I think as well.

re: Dinner vs. Supper

Dinner is the main meal of the day. Historically, that was the midday meal, or what most people would call lunch today.

Supper is what most southerners refer to as the evening meal, but nowadays the main meal is eaten at night, so today people refer to supper as dinner.

My grandma calls the mid day meal dinner. Of course she calls the evening meal supper. I think it's how things used to be a long time ago.

I use dinner because I no longer live in the south. If I invited my friends over for supper they likely wouldn't know what the hell I was talking about.
