See the problem with Marxist Assumptions, is they don't have much regard for The US Constitution. Every single thing this President does is based in his 18th Century CLASS STRUGGLE fundamentalist Orthodoxy. His entire life ,and every step of his resume is replete that his primary goal is Marxist in nature and not Constitutionalist.

"It's about power. My travels made me sensitive to the plight of those without power and the issues of class and inequalities as it relates to wealth and power. Anytime you have been overseas in these so-called third world countries, one thing you see is the vast disparity of wealth of those who are part of power structure and those outside of it." -Barack Obama

"... [T]he truth of the matter is that many of the problems that Africa faces, whether it's poverty or political suppression or ethnic conflict is just as prominent there and can't all be blamed on the effects of colonialism. What it can be blamed on is some of the common factors that affect Bosnia or Los Angeles or all kinds of places on this earth, and that is the tendency for one group to try to suppress another group in the interest of power or greed or resources or what have you.-Barack Obama

"In America, we have this strong bias toward individual action. You know, we idolize the John Wayne hero who comes in to correct things with both guns blazing. But individual actions, individual dreams, are not sufficient. We must unite in collective action, build collective institutions and organizations."-Barack Obama

“The philosophy of nonviolence only makes sense if the powerful can be made to recognize themselves in the powerless. It only makes sense if the powerless can be made to recognize themselves in the powerful.... I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but rich people are all for nonviolence. Why wouldn’t they be? They’ve got what they want. They want to make sure folks don’t take their stuff.”-Barack Obama

I consistently believe that when it comes to whether it's Native Americans or African-American issues or reparations, the most important thing for the U.S. government to do is not just offer words, but offer deeds.” Barack Obama

quote:

oh, like every other president since FDR and the creation of the nanny state?

i will say i dont like the drone program one bit. but i dont know another solution to the problem.

Unfortunately, you're right on that. Even more unfortunately, Obama seems to completely disregard the Constitution, while paying it lip service. Drones are a tiny fraction of his dismissal of the constraints of power. Remember, he thinks the Constitution is "fundamentally flawed" because it restrains the hands of government. Those are his own words, and I doubt he's changed his mind since he said it.
