Even this, what is the point? They have tarps to cover the infield when it is raining. I don't see any point in having a turf infield. Serves no real purpose other than to give up a lot of base hits.

Small budget meant no grounds crew which meant players and coaches getting there early to work the infield.

What are the Chances the game is called off tomorrow?

a baseball field still involves a lot of daily maintenance, especially when the weather gets warmer. that costs a lot of money.

the same turf just painted brown. my old high school got this a year or two ago. we played our league softball games there and it was awful

They are going to convert back to a dirt infield as soon as they pay off that 55,000 seat renovation to their football stadium.

The game is TOMORROW. You think the turf is gonna be still saturated?

That's not the Cajuns field. It clearly states behind home plate that this is the home field for Louisiana College in Pineville.

Good thing about turf is that it will be fine for tomorrow.

I rather real dirt also but plain and simple ULL doesn't have the budget to maintain a field and keep it in pristine shape like most of the sec schools. Either they can have the turf and never worry about playing conditions or a half arse field with grass.
