I disagree partly with this. First, not all politicians pander to the fringe of their party. Secondly, in context with the birther issue, clearly if certain republican politicians don't pander to extreme elements, they will be booted. I think this is the case with Sen Lugar of Indiana.

A FLOTUS shouldn't say our military are blood thirsty savages either. Both may be true in her mind but it's not patriotic to say that.

I don't get this criticism.
If conservatives/libertarians hated blacks, we would be HUGE advocates of the policies that Detroit, Chicago, Oakland or Baltimore operate under...The very same policies BHO endorses.

No, he's either too economically illiterate to know what the consequences of his policies are or he wants as many people depending on government as possible. I think it's the latter.
