did you just skip over all of the social regulation there that's shitty? and the tax rate is a BIG deal

You didn't really name anything. if your biggest beef is that you have to buy 2 16ozs instead of 1 32 then I don't have a whole lot of sympathy for you. Stop and frisk stuff is regulated under the constitution first as you know. I have problems with DWI checkpoints but you don't see me saying Louisiana is a shitty place to live because of it. As far as the tax rate, i can't think of anything more directly reflective of the will of the locals than that.

Where does Bloomberg get his authority to do these things? He's just a mayor.

Ok, then don't. NYC looks like it's really struggling without your contribution.

i'd love to see where NYC would be right now if the feds hadn't bailed out wall street in 2008. NYC has been propped up by various forms of crony capitalism for decades. let's not get into that i'll add another. insane gun control laws

It's awesome. I couldn't protect myself when walking in my neighborhood, the local governing mafia make starting a small business almost impossible without connections, and the brownshirts are allowed to stop and harass you at any time they wish. Paradise.

Uh, not that big of a past time in any of the five boroughs, as far as I can tell. Look, the mayor's edict flies in the face of personal freedom, and I don't think that's the way to go. But I also think too much sugar and obesity (and its effects, diabetes, etc, and increased healthcare costs) are a legitimate concern in America. It's a real issue that we really should address nationwide because it affects all of us in one way or the other. BTW, I have no easy solution.

You know what I mean... Ok, a convenience store. The point is, people are used to going into places like that and getting the 32oz, 40oz, 60oz drinks... There is no more of this. Not only is it an inconvenience because you can't take as much with you for later on, but its going to cost consumers more. In the article, Dominos said something to the extent of "The two litters cost $2.50, but to get the same amount in smaller denominations will cost $6"

Lsut81, edit the title to liters instead of litters. So no one thinks Bloomie is banning dogs or cats having litters, now.
