The Grey and Lawless are better than any of this garbage nominated tonight save for Django.

fricking joke of a show. I will flip back and forth between this and Maggie tonight but I ain't watching.

given the hype surrounding these movies and my personal preferences going in zero dark and silver linings playbook exceeded my expectations, argo just about met them and django fell way below my hopes for it. i'm not a die hard taratino fan but I love pulp fiction and inglorious bastards, django doesn't compare imho

Zero Dark Thirty, Lincoln, and Silver Linings Playbook are all better than Django Unchained IMO. While Django Unchained was an entertaining movie I'm gonna have to steal a line from that anonymous director and say, at the end of the day, it was just Quentin Tarantino masturbating for three hours.

Entertaining movies, but not really Oscar material.

Django.

Fun movie, but basically Tarantino whacking off for almost three hours.

Seriously, I use that phrase often about movies and albums, etc, but I think this may have been in a NY Times article or something this past weekend.

frick, if we have to footnote every phrase that's been used before, this place will take waaaaayyyyy too much effort.

ETA: That phrase is really so common place, it's sort of like a regular figure of speech anyway.
