Hey he didn't know it's 'cous-cous', but in the cheer it DOES sound like cush cush

Just like 'Alec Box' is spelled 'Alex Box'

After coming to LSU and touring other places, let me say there is nothing like being a LSU tiger -- the passion, culture, and pride in this state is something words can't grasp. After being here 3 years, words cant describe the love I have for LSU. Moving to Louisiana has taught me many things about myself and one is that the simple things in life are why we're here on this earth. I will live in this state the rest of my life and after graduating from LSU i hope to bring something positive back to this great state. I'm proud to say I'm apart of Louisiana
We all love LSU, but I beg to differ on the state of Louisiana assumptions. I grew up in Louisiana too. Many of us LSU Alums had to leave the state for decent jobs/salaries. What do you plan on doing after you graduate? By the time you do, your plans and attitudes about Louisiana may have changed.

wasn't raised a LSU fan. I came to LSU in spite of my parents who were from Arkansas and expected me to go to UofA.
My whole family are Hog fans and over the years I have been to 50+ Arky games from diapers to senior year in highschool. After coming to LSU and touring other places, let me say there is nothing like being a LSU tiger -- the passion, culture, and pride in this state is something words can't grasp. You and I are in the same boat..I was raised a Mississippi state fan despite the fact that my dad went to LSU and State and his family all went to LSU..I just have always loved the culture of Louisiana and the people. I knew I was a tiger fan even while i was in middle school/early h/s and still repping state. I just loved LSU much more. I too hope to be able to make a positive difference in the state on day and will forever be a TIGER

Great post George R! And welcome to Louisiana/the LSU Nation.

I lived in NOLA for the first 35 years of my life, and so far the next 29 have been lived in Iowa, Kentucky, Georgia, and Florida. arcannon is right - Believe me, there are some pretty good places out there. But there is no place like home in the Pelican State. No place is like it.

But, conversely, 'many of us LSU alumni' did NOT have to leave the state for decent jobs/salaries. By the time he does graduate, depending on his major/interest and profession, perhaps he will be able to stay in this great state.
It seems to me that YOUR attitudes about Louisiana HAVE changed. Sorry for your loss.....
