Im sold on Vasquez as the future PG for this team
I'm not.
Pg isn't a huge need right now like other spots, but I think we will eventually need to upgrade from Gravy.

You've got quoting down. Now let's work on making points.

ETA: Perhaps he thinks "refute" means "disagree".

Ryan Anderson is the new Peja and at Peja's peak has an MVP candidate

Anderson is a great shooter but he is not in the same league as peak Peja in Sacramento. If we're talking Hornets Peja, then I agree.

I will get blasted, but I sometimes wonder what he would fetch in a trade and if they might be better off dealing him.

Yes I know he has a great contract and is largely responsible for the offense being as good as it has been. But you can find cheap 3 point shooters to replicate some of his production while using money elsewhere to fill in the holes he does have

Again not saying he should be traded. Hell I wanted them to sign him last season. Just curious about his market.

I understand your point, but with his size I think he brings more to the game than just his three point shot.

I kind of agree. He provides a lot, but the way his game conflicts with Davis' game will get in the way at some point.

For the amount of possessions he uses, James is an elite ball handler and has CP3 level TO rate

I was talking about Chalmers, not James. James pretty much takes all pressure off of Chalmers, which should allow Chalmers to be very efficient, but it doesn't really bear that fruit.

Other than using his size to get his shot off, he plays a lot smaller than he is. He doesn't defend that well and his rebounding is spotty.

It takes a lot of effort to argue with you on here and I'm not up for it being on my phone. I'm going to leave by saying this, if we have this amazing point guard in Vazquez, the chosen one at 2 guard, a hall of fame player in the post, and a MVP candidate in Ryno, why are we one of the worst teams in the league? You actually don't have to answer that because I already know what your excuse will be, but I'll wait until next year.

Well, that's no small thing. He muscles guys away at closer range. And while his statistics may not show it, he gets timely rebounds considering where he plays, imo. Again, I understand the logic in moving him at some point, but we're not there by a long shot, imo.

one of my biggest Monty complaints

Anderson primarily goes against 2s. Most teams don't have traditional 4s in their second unit and they use 3s and smaller more athletic 4s to guard him. His post game is imoroving, but its not as good as it needs to be to punish teams for going small against him

He needs more time v starting 4s who are almost all more traditional. Think Memphis or Chicago. You want Darrell Arthur or Zach Randolph, Taj Gibson or Carlos Boozer guarding him?

And I know the Davis/Anderson pairing #s aren't great, but if they aren't trading Ryno that pair has to work for this team to be a contender.

also re Anderson.

He's been an elite offensive rebounder his whole career until this season, but Monty's system calls for almost no crashing of the offensive glass so guys can defend the break.

to my eye, they seem to be allowing for more of this lately, but I dont know for sure

Anderson is a starter...If Davis can't play center, Anderson is our most tradeable asset.

...both players deserve big minutes.

Well he seems to get more time down low than he did in Orlando (didn't watch the that much, actually) and I definitely think he's getting better at it. But, yeah, I'd like to see him play even more against bigs.

It takes effort to form intelligent thoughts. Yes.

First off, you kept talking and didn't leave. Second off, you merely created a strawman question. You keep twisting people's words out of recognition into something that is silly, then claim that as some victory in logic.

quote:

You actually don't have to answer that because I already know what your excuse will be, but I'll wait until next year.

I won't answer it because it is a stupid question that you formulated as a strawman to support your flimsy position on the matter.
