In the greater Nola area, other than Home depot/Walmarks. Is there a place that I can buy directly from the nursery?

I know a while back they were selling some at the Hollygrove market. They had avocado trees as well.

I never went back to get them.

Ask around for a local grower.

I was at a Blueberry farm today and asked the owner several questions about his operation. He told me where he gets his plants, and told me the three best varieties (Premier, ???? and Climax).

I'll be driving to the grower and picking them up for $1.50/plant. It's two hours from NO, so can't help you on where to get them.

Buy two varieties so they can cross-pollinate.

I can vouch for the guy on cl selling in Jefferson, I bought a couple blackberry bushes from him.

I have blueberrys as well, but they are tough to grow on the south shore. I add plenty of pine shavings to add acidity to the soil.

This guy sells his stuff at farmers markets in NOLA. He's in Metairie, and has all sorts of plants available, I'm going to get some Hass avacado trees from him soon. Here's the website seems to have good info on growing tips etc. CitrusTreeNOLA
