Very conservative voter here. Fiscal and social.
And the Speaker is being a coward.
He has responsibility to pass a bill to fund our government. Get his people together, work on a bill, and then pass it.
Let the President do with it what he will. Put the ball in his court.

I do neither, I subscribe that it is all branches working together that get the credit or the blame.
Bills do NOT originate from the Executive Office.

President can run and hide all he wants. Do you honestly expect him to do anything else?
Someone has to act like an adult. Pass a bill and get it to the Oval Office. Force the President to take a stand.

The House has passed a budget for the last two years. The Senate refuses to vote on a budget. The problem is the Senate...Harry Reid, is holding our country hostage, period.

You people act like you do not understand the whole budget process???
The House initiates a bill, then it goes to the Senate. The Senate passes their version of a budget which often isn't the same as the one passsed by the House.
After this, a "committee" that represents both sides negotiates a combined bill and this is re-voted on and sent to the Prez.
Since Harry has refused to hold a vote on any budget bill, the entire process has stalled! It may be true that the House has passed budgets that will not fly in the Senate, but until the Senate at least puts their version down in a bill, you can legitimatly blame the Dems.
And the Prez should meet with leaders to assist in the negotiations, and give his ideas for a budget, in this case to the Senate, since Harry would do whatever is asked of him.
But keep blaming the Repubs, since the media jumps on board with that monologue....

What about the Senate?
Let's suppose that Boehner can corral the cats in the House and passes the following bill:
Sequester cuts to be replaced with:
1) actual federal BUDGET based on FY 2007 spending levels (before TARP, Stimulus and Bailouts), with 2013 budget indexed to inflation (i.e., what would the 2007 departmental budgets b today if 2007 levels rose only at th rate of inflation);
2) END of baseline budgeting (i.e., no more automatic increases in spending - each year, the department has to justify any increase);
3) Repeal of Obamacare
With current revenues, the budget would be balanced within 3 years.
You think THAT would even be allowed to a vote in the Senate? You think that would be siged by Obama?

He has done this twice. Passed 2 bills to avoid the sequester. Both bills are languishing in the Democratic controlled Senate.

Why is anybody blaming Boehner or House Repubs. They passed two proposals to replace to the harsh sequester cuts with other spending cuts. The house did its job. If the Senate or Pres dont like those proposals, they need to amend them or come out with their own. If they refuse its their fault not Boehners or the House.
