There's really not that much difference between the two.

I didn't say there was a gigantic different between the two. I think in THIS lineup Jones is much better fit for the 4 hole.

1. I think he will hit for a little better average and I think he will hit for a little more power. I think he is going to produce more runs.

2. I think that having him hit between Bregman and Katz is going to provide him some protection. With Katz having a little more experience, pitchers are less likely to pitch around Jones to get to Katz. If they do so, fine, we have Katz behind him. I think he will see more fastballs in the 4 hole.

Just my opinion, if you disagree that's fine.

Correct, but if you read my OP, my feeling is that Jones is going to absolutely break out this season. Again, its an opinion and it may not come to fruition, but I think Jones is going to be a major force in the SEC this season.

I'm with you. Most of us that follow this team closely have said that Eades and Jones having big years will be the difference for this club. If Jones bumps his average 70 points to get to what Katz did a year ago, we are in a for a treat with this team.

All I know is that it will be nice to have either 3 or 4 guys hit double digit bombs this year. I am calling Katz, Jones, and Ross to be the three. Possibly Bregman being the number 4 if he breaks out.

That's going to be tough. You could get two though.

Based on Jacoby's newly found approach at the plate (thanks Javi? ), I can't argue either way 4-5 or 5-4. But based on a career of data, Katz is better suited for the cleanup spot.

You guys are all crazy. Trindon Holliday is the ideal clean up hitter.

He probably would be really good at rounding the bases due to his ability to rush the passer off the edge.

Bregman doesn't have the power to knock double digits.. right now he is a high contact gap hitter.

He definitely has the potential to do it. He will be a powerful hitter by the time he leaves LSU. His swing clearly demonstrates that potential. When he breaks out and that power starts to surface remains to be seen.

Just my humble prediction. I think we could realistically get to three.

I'll make a wager we don't get 2. We'll be lucky to get Jones there. Once SEC play starts, HR's will hault.

I will be in town for three series this year, the last being Florida. After the UF game on Saturday we will have 7 remaining games. I'll buy you a brew after the game on Saturday if we don't have two double digit homerun guys by then.
