This. no offense, but I'd rather win in the other truly nationally relevant sport, rather than the sport we're good at and thus think other people care about. Face it, most of the country considers college baseball a step above intramural sports.

As much as I like it, that's reality.
Cliche and less true than in the past, IMO. College Baseball is growing and College Basketball, outside of March Madness, is absolutely atrocious.
ETA: To clear up for mouth breathers, I'm not saying they're on equal footing.

Basketball here still has hope. People forget that LSU used to be a legit team; Brady was a miserable cuss and Johnson was just completely out of touch.
If Johnny can get the marketing going like Daddy Dale did (and we can win a few games), the Deaf Dome will return.

A Basketball championship would be huge for LSU athletics

Football - but here's a thought:
There are only 3 or 4 schools all time with NC in Football, Baseball, Basketball, and Track (for people my age these are the only real sports).
LSU has three of the 4 - several times over - except basketball.
It'd be nice to fill up the quartet.
