Spin off from the other thread.
Actors who joined a show well after it peaked.
Laurence Fishburne - CSI
Charlie Sheen - Spin City
What are some others.

Didn't the terminator join X-Files after ducovney left?
-You could certainly look at a number of characters from the Office.

I'm going to continue on my Rachel Nichols roll for the day...
Rachel Nichols on Alias. Would've loved to see another year with her but Garner was outta there makin' babies.
Lara Pulver showed up the last season of Mi-5 (Spooks) and made an impression. Wish she would've been there the season prior (which desperately needed somebody with charisma). Y'all may know her better as Irene Adler, dominatrix from the last season of Sherlock.

Can I say Tom Selleck on Las Vegas without getting reamed?
I loved that show, but the season before James Caan's last really was the end. Nothing Tom could've done to save that, although I really liked the character.

The second Darlene on Roseanne, though, by that point the first one had gotten pretty ugly so the new one was welcomed.

Jon Lovitz - Newsradio
Terrible conditions and it wasn't Lovitz's fault the show didn't survive the homicide of the late, great Phil Hartman.
At the time it was my favorite show and he was my favorite actor (TV actor, anyway). Sad, but, it is what it is.
