Cheers holds up well after all these years

Show ran from 1982 to 1993 and I was finally old enough to start watching with my parents in mid/late 80's.
Started watching again on Netflix and I still find it funny. A few jokes I never would have gotten as a kid have me laughing now.
Sam Malone is the man, but I wanna be Norm.

One of the all time greats early in its run, but it went considerably downhill in its later years (after the original producers left)

Watched some episodes with my son and he found them funny as well.
But damn that show was dimly lit!

Top 3 favorite show all-time for me. Really, Mayday Malone is the only reason I consider myself somewhat of a Sox fan.

I started rewatching it about a week ago. One of the best shows ever.

Frasier Crane is my second favorite comedy character of all time, second only to the late, great Phil Hartman's Bill McNeil.
Cheers was one of those shows that was just extraordinarily well-cast, and had excellent writers so the material was strong. After a weak start, they dominated the ratings (and rightly so). A comedy that could be smart and base at the same time - a rare gift to be able to pull that off.

I don't care how many times I see this. Always hilarious

Agreed, Cheers was great.
Check out Taxi. Awesome series, too. Louie DePalma and Jim Ignatowski were other all-time great characters from that time.

I just started watching again on Netflix too. Season 1 may be the greatest season of any sitcom I've ever seen. The dynamic between Sam and Diane is just purely amazing. Coach is hilarious as well.
ETA: Those saying that Rebecca was better than Diane can GTFO. Diane was the greatest female comedic character ever. Lucy is the only one that comes close, with Elaine Benes coming in as 2B.
