pretty sure Kirkman confirmed in the first half of the season that Lori will NOT be coming back as a walker.

I recall him doing this as well, which is why I was a little confused as to why it was coming up again on this past episode of Talking Dead.

I guess cause they showed her as a "ghost."

I will be pretty pissed if she does come back as a walker after all what has happened. That would be the lamest shite ever.

Off topic question. I'm trying to remember conversations about how wide spread the epidemic is. Does anyone mention other areas of the world being infected?

The guy at the CDC in season 1 pretty much said it was worldwide.

In past threads we've discussed the merits of a moat relative to the country you're fighting zombies in. China? We're gonna need a bigger moat.

And speaking of moats, if they had one at the prison that van wouldn't have been able to drive through the fences and drop the zombie bomb. #teammoat

if only this was based in Europe where they could have raided an old castle with a moat. they would be set!

Walkers would no longer be a concern, they don't use catapults. You would have to worry about other living humans.

the moat would only last so long. after several hundred Walkers fell into the moat, they would fill it up like sand and the others could just walk across.

Yeah he had said something about last he had heard (before communications went down) the French thought they were close to a cure or something like that.

And awesome...gay moat talk finally made it into this season. :frick:

Although I will say that if a moat filled up with walkers, you'd just burn them.

I like the idea of a moat, but the reality of it happening in that situation just isn't that likely.

That all said, I'm going to incorporate a moat at some point in the quarterly zombie serial I'm writing as homage to the group discussion.

Please have it be a shocking failure. Make it seem like it is what is going to save everyone, and then it ends up killing them all, end of book. Do it.

You have to admit it would have been useful against the van in this last episode. As we are learning, other humans may be more of a threat than zombies in the ZA.

I've outlined the entire story, and I never had a moat in it until people started talking about it on here. Now I'm intrigued to throw one in there as an inside joke.

To be honest, it was never a realistic option for me to have a moat anywhere unless the moat was already constructed.

But Part One and Two are out and I'm halfway through part three. Best thing is they are selling well so that makes me happy.

yeah worldwide and everyone is infected.

Another oT question. So now the world is mostly majority walkers and minority human survivors. The remaining survivors likely won't become walkers because the sheer numbers of the walkers and them eating the surviving human whole because of lack of food.

So at what point to humans start to take control back, if ever?

Do walkers die off of starvation? Like said many pages ago, if I were in the prison, I'd be stabbing all the walkers at the gate.

No. Remember that the Truman Show doc at the CDC told Rick that everyone turns when they die. So even the human survivors who outlive the worst of the ZA will still eventually die and then turn.

Well yeah, but if they are with a group of survivors who know the deal, then the survivors will deal with it. You know Rick would put a bullet in Hershel's head if he randomly passed away.

The prison gang could actually make a kind of moat defense. If they could somehow fence off the gates from the inner and outer fences and fortify the fences, they could fill the area in between the two fences with walkers to keep out bandits.

What they really need to do is find a way to electrify the outer fence.
