There is virtually no financial benefit to raising your own meat, especially something as involved as rabbits. The only reason to raise any animal is if it is for personal consumption and you simply want to know the nature by which it ended up on your plate. For dogs, I'd buy grocery store chicken on sale.

Most grocery store chicken is marinated in a high salt/water solution which isn't appropriate for dogs. Plus, I like the idea of knowing exactly what goes into the diet of my pets meals.
