I saw Bo play against the Saints with the Raiders in the Dome in 88 or 89. That was back when the Saints had one of the best defenses in the league with the Dome Patrol and gave up like 50 yards per game rushing or something ridiculous like that. The first two carries of the game, Bo runs for 20 yards each (which never happened against the Saints). I just shook my head and thought it was going to be a long day.
But, on the second carry he got hurt and didn't play again. That was Bo's career in a nutshell. Brilliance, but he was hurt too easily and too often. It was a shame, really.

Bo was too good -- too big and too fast. As I remember it, the tackle that ended his career happened when he was running close to full speed, but had his legs wrapped up in a picture-perfect tackle. His momentum literally pulled his leg out of the hip socket.
