If you've coached for any amount of time at all you'd know plenty about inflated, hand-timed 40s. So once again, something isn't adding up here.
You edited your post at 9:18 to add the stuff about Collins. My post was made at 9:15. You're just having the worst luck understanding this whole 'time' concept, aren't you?
And explain how my opinion is wrong on this subject. You gave a link to a camp, likely with laser timing, where palelei ran a 4.4. That is not sub 4.4. Is your understanding of right and wrong failing you like your understanding of time?

I didn't time him, I only watched it, like I watched all the kids that day. They announced the times as they finished. Would you like to time him with your "Laser?" I'm sure I could arrange it.

I don't have a laser system to time him with. The camps they go to typically do. Like the NUC from last summer that you posted. Where he ran 4.4. Not sub 4.4.
I haven't been able to watch the basketball team in a few weeks. Unlike you, I try not to make a habit of commenting on things I clearly know nothing about.
I'm still waiting for you to explain how you posting a video where he is credited with running a 4.4 is proof that I'm wrong, and that he does in fact run in the 4.3s. It's 10:09 right now, I have a feeling I'll be waiting a while for that one.

Wait, now it's 4.38? I thought it was 4.37? I mean, we all know how accurate, down to the slightest fraction of a second, these hand-timed 40s are. Shouldn't it be clearly established first exactly what time is you are claiming you watched him run?

I haven't made a single comment about palelei or his abilities in this thread, other than his 40 time. And even that was not meant as a slight against him. There's no shame at all in a high school junior running back running a 4.4, which seems much more likely to be the time he runs.
My entire reason for posting in the thread in the first place was you feeling the need to add all of the unnecessary superlatives to make your case for the kid, especially the sub 4.4 part. If he's as good as you think he is there shouldnt be a need to pump him up to be better than he is. Just tell the truth about him.
