A year or so ago I was in PCB. We ate at a Oyster place called Shuckems.

Being a grilled oyster lover, we ordered a couple of dozen baked oysters.
Well they cam out on plastic lunch trays with cheese melted to the tray.
I was skeptical so I ate a oyster, it was half cold and half hot.
I peaked into the kitchen and saw 8-10 microwaves and cooks throwing oysters in them a dozen at a time.

I cannot believe someone would get so lazy, grilling or baking oysters is simple/

The last time we went to TGI Fridays, the wife asked if she could get a burger medium rare. The waitress said she didn't think so because the patties were frozen. The wife ordered the chicken.

I never order a burger less than mid-well unless I know they grind their own meat.

I might give a restaurant a break on that if they weren't an "oyster place" named Shuckems. I mean seriously, if you want to be known for oysters, you shouldn't own a microwave.

If you ever want to see bad food prep, watch restaurant impossible on Food network. It is amazing how lazy/stupid people in that business get with food prep. When it is usually easier and cheaper to make it by hand.

I doi watch that show and kitchen nightmares. Turns my stomach sometimes. I worked in kitchens and even in corporate environments with higher standards I saw things that grossed me out.

But stuff on that show. I hope its staged.

Thought other things don't gross me out. I was at Angeli on Decatur a few weeks back enjoying my Lucifer's Special when a rat walked by. I didn't even bat an eye just kept eating my pizza.

Every dish I served at Ruby Tuesday was the worst prep I've ever seen. Those cooks and managers DGAF, and that's putting it mildly.

Right

I was watching the other night and this guy had almost everything frozen

As in using frozen bags of mixed veggies. Who would ever want to eat at a place like that?

My rule for going to a restaurant is the following: if I can make it with minimal to medium amount of effort at home better, there is no reason for me to eat there.
