Before you go to blighttown, here is my recommendation.
Go back to the undead asylum and get the ring that lets you move normal in water or mud. Also, go to Darkroot garden and grind out some purple moss and blooming purple moss for poison and toxicity removal. Just my two centsz

Id say the best way to spend 20 bucks. This game is damn near perfect and doesn't seem to ever get old.
