could those stone golems with the sledgehammers be just a little more annoying? 2 encounters = 2 deaths.

In dark souls you are "hollow", basically undeadish. Humanity is what you use to restore yourself to human form aka alive this enabling you to summon other phantoms to help you

the ones in the first forest of the dlc?
they suck. lots.
my last fight was going pretty well.... until I backpedaled off a cliff.
ETA: dual wielding my black knight halberd +4 puts those frickers on ice pretty quick though.

those golems ain't got shite on these new things.
I think they are called guardians. been finding pieces of their armor scattered about the first area.
just had to fight two at once. jimmies were thoroughly rustled by that.

Jimmie rustles with the thought of dark souls. Jimmies really rustle when i put in dark souls. Epic rustleing of the jimmies when at a boss and out of flask.

Oh one more question:
I'm not that into high fantasy. Am I going to be getting swords three times my size and shite? I hate that so much. No human could ever carry a weapon that huge. I want it to look somewhat realistic.

It is away to play the game as real as possible and the character keeps it around normal difficulty with nothing over powered.

The game has heavy JRPG influence, you will get typical fantasy things like the one you described.

you want weapons that look proportionate to the character?
to answer your question, most of the weapons are standard sized. there are some large-ish two handed weapons that may get a little out of the realm of plausibility, but if you don't like them don't use them.
