Hey, a little collateral damage here and there is the price we pay for our god-given right to bear arms.

The security guard shot enough to stop the treat (which was only a couple seconds.) I seems like the cops are the ones that shoot till they run out of bullets....

Security guards who can't hit their targets, thereby spraying bullets aimlessly. Can we get these security guys to watch our schools? Our kids need this feeling of security.

Hyperbole much? He fired two rounds on semi-automatic. And he was wounded at the time.

I am as big a gun guy as there is on here but firing through the wall is extremely reckless. Someone needs to review the rules of engagement with that guard - or fire him altogether. I am guessing though that the business was only slightly more legal than that attempted robbery.

I think the guy was going for a kill you see in movies. I think her herd him crash against the wall and you can see he shot head level. It would have been impressive if he got one, but not kill, so in the news if they talk about this they can put names and faces to it. I just think it would have a longer lasting impact on people.

I have not seen anyone that wanted to put an armed thug in our schools to protect our children. I have seen off duty police, retired police and retired military, but not armed thugs.

The "armed thug" you speak of was emoloyed by a security firm. How do you know what the qualifications of the security guard are to make such statements?

How do you know the security guard meets the training criteria needed to work as an armed guard in a school?
