A lot of things on many boards are getting that way. The whole reason I signed up to Tigerdroppings was the baseball threads.
80% of the thread was "Fire Javi" or someone posting their email. Javi joke was funny the first time. It is beyond driven into the ground at this point.
Only people I payed attention to tonight were Liquid, Astro, and Hugo.

Which this creates more crappy threads and dilutes the few qualities threads they have.
So when people say it was better back then it was, because you didn't have 50 crappy posters starting crappy threads you only had 20. Also a thread that was quality didn't turn into a troll/IM thread as quickly because there was less posters.
The threads themselves were not better but the quality ones were more proportionate with the shitty ones where as now the shitty ones eclipse everything.
And yes I've started my share of shitty OT threads, that is why I stick to MSB to start threads and OT to IM.

I haven't been a member on the site too long, but I tend to think the "this son and so board use to be better" sentiment is bull shite. There's always non sense on message boards, and I really have a hard time believing the OT was such a great place at one point in time. I feel people say this for e-cred. It's like kids in high school bitching about how music sucks now.
