Considering that the first Anarcho-Capitalist was probably Lysander Spooner that is about as irrelevant to the topic as anything.

Do you know how many Anarcho-Capitalists have been killed in a revolution? I'm pretty sure the answer is 0.

Well no because I'm pretty sure these only exist on the internet.

Have you watched Molyneux's video on procrastination?

I have watched it. Great stuff, as usual. I think this also goes to explain a lot of why government is inefficient. So many rules and "slaves" it is hard to get anything done without a procrastination.

ETA: bookmarked this thread so I can find all the book suggestions when I am buying again.

What are some of the best books that attack Keynesian economics?

Not a book, but Demolition Man is a great portrayal of Big Government run amok.

Of course, people like Bloomberg probably jerk off to it.

Movie. Sandra Bullock, Sly Stallone, Wesley Snipes, and Denis Leary.

1984 is also a good read--fiction, but a very damning portrayal of the "workers utopia" snake oil offered by Marxists.

These are the best books mentioned in this thread:

Man, Economy, and State
The Ethics of Liberty
Brave New World
For a New Liberty: The Libertarian Manifesto

Read those before you read anything else. Seriously.

Hazlitt has a book that critiques Keynes' General Theory paragraph by paragraph. Can't remember the name.

The Revolution: A Manifesto or Liberty Defined both by Ron Paul.

The Tea Party Goes to Washington by Rand Paul.

Eat the Rich by PJ ORourke is a must for anybody who wants to read about the different economic systems in the world.

That's what I came to suggest (+ Holidays in Hell). Figured it may be better to ease him in with some entertaining reading before getting into the more hardcore ideology books. I don't think it's necessarily libertarian so much as anti big government, but the real life examples of what comes from Marxism should be effective.

They do exist on the internet (on craigslist for example), but those exchanges of mutual agreement often move into the physical realm without taxation or violence.

RP's books are great, but they are essentially Rothbard interpretations.
