They can talk but it's moot if Garnett won't waive his no-trade clause.
Supposedly CP3 made a hard sell to Garnett during the offseason and Garnett stood hard on a refusal to leave Boston.

I really don't think they bring anyone in that could stunt Rivers development. They'd either bring in someone that would let them move Vasquez, or a grizzled old vet backup up that would be good enough to play decent minutes but ok not playing regularly, basically a Roger Mason type but a PG. I don't think Brooks fits either of those categories.

ya...i think Garnett would go to the Clippers. they're title contenders with him, and if the celtics are moving him, they're likely moving Pierce and/or Rondo as well.
