I agree with that...

I still don't think you move him for a 2.

Lol. The Warriors won't give us Klay and Barnes for EG.

No they won't.

Also they are right against the cap, so what contracts do we take on?

Thompson and Jefferson or Biedrins.

Is probably what they're offering. Whether we take it or not is yet to be seen

And how long are their contracts? If we can get from under them after next season, great. If not, I would rather gamble with EG.

We'd be dumb to take that.

ETA - actually, I won't go so far as to say dumb, but I wouldn't care for it.

RJ: 11 mil player option next year
Biendris: 9 mil player option next year

Idk why this thread is even 10 pages long. EG won't be traded this season. Nothing to see here

I agree. Klay is not close EG, when healthy. He's finally getting there.

Plus we'd take on a bad contract, no way.

Klay/Barnes or hold onto him. Dangle him this summer

I think that all depends on why Biedrins isn't playing. Is he no longer an NBA caliber player or can he be a 4th big and allow you to trade Smith or Lopez? If he can be a 4th big then he's $2 million cheaper than Jefferson and lets you cash in one of your logjam players.

As far as the Warriors not wanting to give up Thompson for Gordon, they should know #NKTNC. Hell, even with Thompson I barely care.

I don't click on trade machine links unless it involves us get Lebron, CP3, and Jesus.

This pretty much sums it up for me.

but why grab Rondo when our problem isn't really at PG?

Because he is the best player anyone has mentioned in any of these hypothetical deals and even coming off knee surgery is much better than Thompson. You take the best value you can get. You can move Vasquez this summer if need be.

We need a legit scoring 3

If Gordon is staying this is just not true. Aminu has been one of the best players on the team this season. Is he limited offensively? Sure. But he rebounds, plays defense, and runs the floor. The Hornets need more players that play defense than can score the ball.

If you move Gordon for Thompson, then yes- they need more scorers.

Aminu's jump shot is also coming around. Unfortunately, he's an unrestricted free agent. Hindsight is a bitch sometimes, but Aminu's option was definitely worth picking up. I can't blame Dell on that one, though.
