I went on a four day cruise on this same ship last year, Actually watched game of the century 1 while on this cruise.
The ship was dated, but it was very clean and overall a lot of fun.
Actually recommended this trip to friends and family. Haha

Not a lot of room for error. Only 400' of channel when entering port.

Probably not normally. That would suck to be in Mobile bay for the night. 
If they knew anything about the bay, they would just need to be able to swim out of the channel. After that they could probably just walk to shore.

Bookings are up for the first voyage of when the ship returns to action. Experts say people think that they we be treated great for PR reasons.
