Hinds was the tits as Caesar on Rome. Good to see him joining the cast. I want to watch S2 again, but it may be a little too soon. I'll just do a mid-March Pizza-No-Pants-Saturday to refresh myself.

He's an incredible actor. I don't think Mance is supposed to be quite that old, but I think Hinds will do just fine.

I loved Hinds in Rome but in my mind I was kind of picturing Mance as Kris Kristofferson-ish.

I need to go back and rewatch season 2. So much is going on I need to refresh my mind on what happened

Actually, I'm starting this when I get home.

Might even start with season 1

The next 2 seasons are based off of the best book in the series (so far).

Nice. Like I said early got just a couple pages left in book 1. Just haven't had much time to read lately. Trying to get close to reading third book at same time as the season

I don't know if you will be able to stop yourself, but I'd highly recommend finishing book 3 before starting season 3. I don't know what point the season would stop, but spoiling a show that takes 10 hours to watch seems better than spoiling a book that takes much longer to read.

Dang, there are still people out there that haven't read the books?

I can't even remember what I learned from the books and what from the show. So, I think I better stay out of posting in here. (I look forward to reading everyone's take on things though).

I love them just don't have much time to sit down and read.

Learned so much shite from the first book that just can't be found out by the tv show

Really want to at least be finished with book 2 before season 3 starts

I haven't read the booksand don't plan to do so until the series has ended. Someone made a great point on this board regarding this show once. He said there are many great books but very few great television series. I would rather enjoy a great TV series without knowing what is around the corner.

I'd like to use the book as a crutch to the third season.

Personally I enjoy a great tv show more than a great book. I normally don't read but loved GoT so much I got the books
