when i was in high school, everyone did both. now this year in georgia, they have to choose or some gay shite because of a new rule. i know one kid at my high school that is committed to a D2 school quit the academy to play high school. 2 other kids who are D1 are doing academy and not high school. i think it's a shame because high school soccer is definitely more fun and kids should get to enjoy both.

I think LHS is going to take it this year. They're as strong as they've ever been and the Nola schools are down, at least compared to the Mullins/Cabos era Jesuit

This mentality is what is one of the reasons why the US can't produce quality youth system. If we were to rid HS soccer and move only to development academies then you would see a big jump in youth development.
It'll never happen, though.
