I've gone eevry year to the hangout. This is the first year I have meh'd.
granted people will always bitch and moan, the fact is, this line up doesn't live up to past hangouts
and to the person who is saying "what bands do you want to see?" it's not that I can say these bands are terrible, I just don't like them. Naming who I would like to see is kind of dumb, because if I could hand pick a festival lineup, I of course would love it and others would hate it. but, I guess if I had to list who I would like to see, umphrey's again would be nice, dr dog again, some more funk (meters, new mastersounds, etc) zappa plays zappa maybe, tame impala, portugal the man, anything with les claypool, some bluegrass. I could really go on all day naming bands I would rather see than alot of these

Well a bunch of those bands you mentioned have played this exact same festival before.

It's got some GREAT acts in it. I'm definitely interested in going after seeing the lineup.

govt mule, trey, galactic, crowes, the roots have all played before if not multiple times. still would like to see them, and the other bands i listed
someone asked to list who I thought would make the festival better, so I did. I've made it pretty clear it was my opinion and not everyone would like it, hence naming the bands i would like to see is dumb, but I did it anyway

The thing is, not many from jazz fest are going to be at hang out and that limits the lineup somewhat
