Not reading all the thread here but the Dems aren't scared of Rubio after his performance last night. The Republicans have to start from scratch with any kind of candidate for the next election

Rubio is just another Republican that harps on spending cuts and increased military spending. He is also a big foreign interventionist. He advocates the U.S. arming Syrian rebels and fighting wars to "spread democracy" and force America's influence on the world.
The dem's are really shaking in their boots about another typical conservative a-hole financed by big special interest $$ and the media that wants to continue the same policies that have bankrupt this nation. Please.

Yeah - that troubles me about Obama also - pandering to get votes for legislation that puts more government in control over more aspects of life.
The DEM party is nothing but a pander-machine. They are totally illogical. They go after any fringe element they can to create more single issue voters and pander to them incessantly.
Note that Obama was NOT for homosexual marriage until the poll numbers 'persuaded' him that it would now be safe to be 'for' it.

Almost daily there is a "candidate who Dems are afraid of..During the repub primary it was the new fav changed weekly it seemed. You guys hear one speech and he's the new man/woman. Then as one would expect with a free press, that candidate gets a little more scrutiny. Then it's the "leftist" media vault for pointing out the short comings of the fav new candidate. Your problem is you don't seem to have much of a bench. The guys/gals in the news are either scammers or light weights. Rubio has been around, but as I have pointed out, he's Cuban. That's a problem with the Latino population in general. When you want to make your tent bigger you need to know something about the people you are asking in. The vast majority of latino voters don't like "arrogant" cubans.

He's not a white male. He'll be Palinized by the left.
He has potential, but the new strategy is to put up a front runner that will be the lightning rod while we scoot someone like Rand Paul into the candidacy. The Obama method.
Put up Santorum, or Newt....then slip Rand in at the last second.
