Next, you will be writing that the Koch Brothers built a time machine and went back to Boston in 1770 and began to whisper into the ear of Sam Adams and the Sons of Liberty. They are clearly in charge of everything.
Look, I'm no Tea Party advocate because I found it to be a selfish and cynical vision for America. But, we are all Americans and A LOT of people have an ideological and historic loyalty to smaller government, lower taxes, and self-reliance. You don't have to have a conspiracy to get that movement started.

I thought it was common knowledge Freedom Works was pushing the tea party shite from the beginning. Matt Kibbe and Dick Army were pimping the Tea Party hard, then Fox got on board. Is it that hard to believe influential conservatives were pushing it along behind the scenes?
The Tea Party was just pissed off conservatives and some libertarians. Freedom Works gave them a cool patriotic sounding name when the republican brand was in the shitter and the media played along. It was actually pretty brilliant.

Conservative media started hyping the Tea Party immediately after Santelli's rant. Fox, bloggers, talk radio, it was media driven. It's not some great scandal to acknowledge that. Instead of being offended by the suggestion, you guys should be happy conservatives figured out how to play the media, even if just that once. It was brilliant. Conservatives got their movement and the media got the ratings, everybody won.

Tea Party is a segment of American society that only gives a shite about politics every 20 years or so. It's the same people that voted Ross Perot.
