That's what I would do but it might only be 1-5 months, and I think I will get another offer with the next 6 months but hate to hold out on something that never happens

If the pay isn't that much better and you are going to be jumping ship again soon I would avoid it. As an employer, when I am looking for an employee I want someone who is going to be loyal and there a long time.
When a resume shows a bit of job hopping it is always a red flag.
Don't let a short term gain prevent you from hitting paydirt down the road.
