eta: this brother's statements (which don't say how he heard this info) would be hearsay. out of court statements used to prove the truth of the assertions therein. Thus far, we don't have info showing that she told him about the embezzlement, do we?

Btw, so we're clear about what's at stake here. The property I'm referring to is the house I grew up in that's worth roughly 380k. My father left it to us several years ago
So, she's basically paying her way out of this with a lot ofmoney that isn't even hers
