With the Cameron hire, I don't think it's unrealistic to think the best years are ahead of us now.

Developing quarterback talent can only mean good times are ahead.

If you think our best times are behind us, then you must be truly miserable.

The 2013/2014 class should win a championship imo, or at least get there. Those two classes are just too talented not to.

That should be one helluva team

This thread is not too specific and I don't think I am miserable but....
We have 2 national titles in the last 10 years. It's unlikely we have 3 national titles in the next ten years.

ETA: So in a 20 year span it is likely that the best (10) years in that stretch are behind us. Especially if you consider our finishes the years we did not win a title.

I think we're smack dab in the middle of the golden years. We can probably enjoy awesomeness another 10 years.

When we pause and look back as you've done it has been a great run. But I among others don't think we've peaked out and especially so since '07. It's not that difficult to envision us playing better. I realize it's speculation, but 3 NC's in the next ten years is very doable.

I have a math and odds making mind. If we are 5 or 6 to 1 odds EVERY year (which would be the favorite or second favorite EVERY year) than we should win 2 titles in the next ten years.
It's simple math/logic really.

And it's unlikely we are the top choice or two ten years in a row.

We backed in with 2 losses. That got canceled out by getting fked with the mulligan. If we could go 13-0 with the 2011 team, we can do it again. With the distractions and crappy qb play in 2011, no reason we can't win another title. Sans the mulligan game, miles deserves a lot of credit for holding together that team. Especially with THAT schedule. He can do it again. Yes, even with The Hobbit sitting in Tuscaloosa.

Behind us. Our Defense was great last year but offense was mediocre at best. It will take at least till the 2nd year of CC to reap benefits. I don't think he stays long so we will be back to mediocre.
