At the top of the list imo.
Raiding is the most important aspect of the game and thus the higher the troops, the better.

Well, this doesn't affect the number of troops, but the quality of them. I get your point though.

So how do attacks work? I had a lvl 56 or so attack me and I'm lvl 21. I attacked a lvl 7. That seems....unfair

depends on how many trophies you both have and what TH level. The level stuff is just experience points.

I got to ~1880 without even trying really, I just didn't deliberately lose matches. If given another day I could have gotten to 2100

Well eff. I'm screwed then. I have been focusing on upgrading defenses, walls, camps, and upgrading my individual troops so they are stronger. Since I found out people can attack me at will.
Since I started attacking in MP I went from 20 trophies yesterday to almost 400 before I left this morning

Well I only got like 1000 gold and elixir, I did it mainly because he tried to attack me
