I've worked in both public and private sectors. For what this guy did, he deserved being taken care of by his goverment. Unfortunately there comes a point in one's career that working for the government becomes more of a game in terms of trying to survive until retirement. The trick is to get to the finish line regardless of what they try to do to you. However, better that than some of the frickovers that can happen in private sector. There are at least some protections in the government sector. You just have to learn them and learn how to use them. Many times careers do not end on the most glamorous of circumstances. However, between the beginning and end there are some high points that can always be cherished. That said, careers are like anything else. They go up, they go down, and then they end. Then you move on to the next chapter of your life.

I can see why. You killed one of the most famous terrorists in history, but you can't tell anyone about it? I obviously understand why you shouldn't say anything, but human nature makes you want to tell people what you did.

Went to school with my younger brother from kindergarten right up to senior in high school.
Great guy, left behind a beautiful wife and 3 kid. And yes he told us that those guys swore they'd never talk about it. He wouldn't even confirm whether he was there or not, not every member of Team Six was obviously.
Look like some things have changed

I graduated from Green Forest High School in 1989, my brother and Tommy in 1995. My sister graduated with Tommy's sister in 1992.
Tommy's mom , Nancy, was the President of the school board when I graduated and signed my diploma even.

The guy made a simple statement like everyone else in this thread. It was the onslaught of people calling him a liar that prompted him to verify what he was saying
Lot of people on here make themselves look like fricking tools by attacking anyone with something interesting to say
