I've been working @ FGMC for last 2 months.......just left last Monday for my last rotation in anesthesia........I was staying 7 blocks from where it hit..........

I'm north of gandy off old richton. No power.
Worst hit part of petal was in the "old business district"
no power west of the intersection of central and gandy all the way to the river is I'm hearing.

Petal neighborhood just east of Petal High School north of 42 was hit hard. My buddy's house was pretty fricked up. Lots of his neighbors' houses were destroyed. Loads of trees down all in that neighborhood. Right behind Sherwin Williams. Looks like that was the 'path.'

Buddy of mine just let me know he's ok...he lives in some apartments right beside campus. He got no damage but I think he was one of the few in his area that was spared.
