My whole thing is I'm definitely not putting down a .30-30 or 12 gauge or whatever I got to grab a damn pistol.

I carry one just because I like pistols.

I'll have it for whatever need arises.

Yeah me neither. I'd rather my chances with the aught 6 or 12 ga with slugs/buckshot.

A lot of people use bolt-actions. That's not going to be a lot of help if you have something coming at you.

Well I'm not a hunter yet.

My trips into the woods have all been wma and just hiking with the kids or camping with the family.

I just don't like being way back on some isolated area without a handgun.

I've only hunted 2-3 times in my life and hope to change that over the coming years.
