still paying too much for a coach because not enough people care how good the team performs
Ah, I see.....................so that's what determines what we should pay a coach. Got it. Thanks for your opinion.

FWIW I would've gone if I were in town. But the fact that it's during Mardi Gras weekend kinda screws it.
Congrats to the team!!

Good win. I really wondered if they were going to go in the tank after TN game. It seems like they learned from the loss...hit clutch free throws, no stupid fouls down the stretch and most importantly don't give the ball to Lutley in the last minutes. Except for the A&M game, we could win the rest. We seem to match up well with KY. We really need to win out and then make a little noise in the conference tourney and see what happens with post-season.

Awesome win today....credit to our coach for getting this team ready to play today after what happened vs. Tennessee. They closed out the game the way it is supposed to be done. I feared that they might fold the tents, but to the contrary, their half-court defense was on FIRE today...just like the old days!
That having been said, UGA by far and away looked like the worst of the 3 teams we played this week...and they were ranked the highest!! I think A&M is the best team in the league with Kentucky right there.
Well I know a man......and he says we have probably seen the last of her, period.

Unfortunately, they'll only suit up 9 players as freshman Kuaneshia Baker has been suspended for violating team rules..........................again.
(something tells me she's not going to be on the team next season)

Paying way too much for us to be in the middle of the SEC and as of now, not in the NCAA tourney which we are hosting by the way. This is ridiculous.

I agree, although I feel two years is not long enough to fully make this judgement, if she wins (SEC Champ and/or ncaa's FF within 3-4 years I "may" be ok with this)..my issues are 5-6 in SEC should NOT happen, but others say VAN left a mess etc...bottom line, I am not thrilled with what I see on and off the court and think she has underacheieved by a good bit in 1.5+ years, but she deserves more time to build things her way and if she wins big, I am fine with the $700K pay

Meh..............I think we did a good job with her salary. If you want a good up and coming coach, you pay market value, period. Again, I'm not sure what you all were expecting her to have done in 1 1/2 seasons. But as far as I'm concerned I'm definitely seeing the investment was well worth it. Certainly, keeping Chancellor was not an option. The program was going down the tubes with him at the helm.
