Nebraska didn't go undefeated in 1972.

I pick 96 UF because we were the first team to win the AP title with the #1 sos.

I wouldn't go with either of these since the top players weren't playing football then.

43 ND and 45 Army also refused to play in a bowl game.

How could they be 'top players' when they weren't even playing the game?

Yep Bill Russell on the Dons.
I should have said...most impressive.
Even though they lost 2 games...perhaps 1992 Duke is the most impressive considering the expansion of the tourney.
Most dominant probably 1972 UCLA BB or USC FB - their margin of victory in the NCAA tournament is a record 30.3 points...and 29 points margin of victory in the football season...respectively.

uf wasnt wire to wire. they didn't open the season at #1 nor did they finish the regular season at #1.
they do have a very legit argument for best 1 loss champion of all time.

They went wire to wire in my heart.

USC didn't go undefeated in 03 and only had 12 wins

quote:Psshh. They weren't even the best team. And no, them beating us in '02 and '03 is not a relevant argument.
2004 USC (13-0)

This is #1 for me. A team that can be considered as one of the best of ALL-TIME.
