Ultimate douche-mobile.

Unfortunately this is the case more often than not. Every person I know in CO who owns one is a huge fricking tool and most don't know the first thing about off-roading. Anytime I see one on the highway I immediately think "there goes a tool".

So anyone that buys a MB AMG, BMW M3 or M5, a Porsche 911, a Nissan GT-R, etc, etc should know about high performance racing too, right? They should bring their car to the track to race?

Anyone that has a mini-van should be required to have kids and be a soccer mom, right?

Anyone that owns an SUV should need one to haul medium load cargo?

Everyone that owns an electric vehicle should be eco-freindly and love the Earth?

Point being, if one can afford a vehicle, likes the look and drive, and buys one, who is anyone to tell them what they should have to do with it?

When you say douche-mobile, if just makes you sound bitter and jealous.

I have a rock crawling Jeep I have built up myself and am still building. I honestly don't know how much I have in it already but it is a lot.

Jealousy is not what I was attempting to relay.

I'm only trying to pass along many people's perceptions are of Raptor owners.

I believe these vehicles are designed for desert terrain. You may want to check if they have any issues with handling mud.

Who cares if I go off road or not? It's a luxury truck that I can have fun with, use for the occasional load haul, drop the boat in the water

Sure, if it's a small load and a small boat. You probably should have researched this truck some more. Since its designed with desert prerunning in mind, it has a softer suspension which diminishes payload and towing capacities pretty substantially when compared to a standard F150. A 22ft boat would probably make the truck squat.

In Louisiana I mostly see 60 year old men driving them. There are douches that drive every type of performance vehicle, but you can't let that sway you. If you do you'll never drive a Ferrari 458 because Kim Kardashian has one.

Before I realized I wasn't rich I test drove a Raptor and a Lariat with Eco-Boost back-to-back. The Raptor just put a grin on my face the whole time. If I had to choose between those two it would be tough - the Raptor is the same width as a Hummer H1 and gets about the same mileage. The soft suspension is great for shitty Louisiana roads and the way it makes you feel can't be beat.

Not really. The trucks don't do it for me and they are not well suited for Colorado at all. They don't do rocks nor snow and ice good.

I had a former co worker buy one. Affliction wearing guy who fancied himself an amateur MMA fighter. He bought himself a Raptor and his wife an LR1 at the same time. Dude was living pay check to paycheck making $230k a year.

What any vehicle is supposed to do, IMHO.

Yea, it is. Just a Nitro Z-7 sport from Bass Pro. Weighs less than 4K fueled. Raptor can tow up to 8K. Slip is only about three miles from home.

Yea, but with the equity on the two private sales of our existing vehicles, the finance is closer to 46K @ 1.9% for 36 months. Not too bad. (Here come the "never finance; only buy cash, because that's what you can afford" trolls...lol)

I saw plenty of Raptors pulling big Mardi Gras floats this week and they handled it well. I don't think a Mastercraft is gonna give it trouble.

People are getting the Raptor confused with the old Lighting or GM's Typhoon.
Both of those had reduced towing capacities, but were badass hot rods.
