Then I stand by my assessment of the 0-0 Argentina friendly. Put a lot of money on Argentina to win, O/U on goals was probably 3. And Joel Aguilar was the ref, I know that motherfricker is shady.

It's much too hard to fix a game with players. Imagine if gamblers got to Ricardo Clark in the World Cup. (I don't think this happened, btw...) He gives away a goal. His coach subs him out before the half. As the match fixer, you've lost control of the outcome.
Only three people are *guaranteed* to be on the field for 90 minutes. And one of those guys has the ability to be judge and jury over every decision. THAT is the guy you want in on the fix.
