The UAV or RPV (looking at Navytiger) use isn't my biggest concern, instead loiter time and sensor capabilites are the real issues.

Actually it does. A "drone" still receives some command purpose. A "true" AI which does not yet exist at all would make those decisions independently. A UAV is different in that a pilot is still involved in minute to minute decisions. Drones can receive a set of commands and then complete the mission without further intervention. You should know these difference btw.
So yes, a drone is not autonomous. Hence the term "drone".

In my field it's all jargon ,and nobody gets upset if a layperson uses a similar but technically different term....you see if the understand the POINT of the topic. Loiter time is an issue, but this can be accomplished with one or more aircraft. Hell the Breguet Atlantique 2 has an 18 hour endurance and more sensors than you could imagine... it was built in the 50s and 60s.
In fact aircraft have a better ability to employ more and advanced capability sensors then a drone. The RC-12 Guardrail has been used to outstanding effect in Iraq/Afghanistan. The difference with a drone is merely operating cost (acquisition cost still tends to be higher for the more advanced platforms)

No ejection seat, no life support requirements mean more fuel and more sensor/EO capabilites. The concern is the use on American citizens.

Nearly all SIGINT/Recce lack an ejection seat. The EA-18 is the only one if memory serves. There are conventional systems that have longer endurance and payload than a Reaper for example.
On the issue of using them to kill American citizens, yea I take umbrage to that. However for law enforcement/border patrol anti-narcotics I'm fine with it.

Had the opportunity to learn a little about that plane. Nothing short of Badass. Great replacement for the EA-6 and EF-111 for the RAAF. Hope we can sell it to more of our allies.
