And they run the triple option. No big time recruit wants to go there because they aren't set up well to project players to the NFL.

It really has nothing to do with the triple option. Even when we didn't run the triple option, we didn't get big time recruits. I don't think we've ever had a unanimous 5-star recruit. Calvin was a 4 on one site and a 5 on another. I don't know why people act like recruiting has taken a turn for the worst now that PJ is here. Besides the 2007 class, PJ's classes have been better than Gailey's.

This class beats every single Gailey class except the 2007 one.

Average stars year to year:
2013: 2.71
2012: 3.00
2011: 2.91
2010: 3.17
2009: 2.90
2008: 2.65
2007: 3.30
2006: 2.69
2005: 2.37
2004: 2.21
2003: 2.67
2002: 2.88

Gailey was pulling in tons of 2-stars.

2002 - 12 recruits per scout. 50% were 3* or better.
2003 - 21 recruits. 57% 3* or better.
2004 - 24 recruits. 29% were 3* or better.
2005 - 20 recruits. 40% were 3* or better.
2006 - 14 recruits. 50% 3* or better.

This year we've got eight 3 star and two 4 star. That's 77% 3* or better.

This is nothing new unfortunately. We don't offer majors that sound appealing to kids that just want to play football. The Hill only allows about 2 exceptions per year as well.
