I'm an election commissioner so I see it every time we have an election.
The worst example I can think of was when I had to read the ballot to people so that they knew who they were voting for. Yep. That illiterate person's vote cancelled out my vote. 
Examples like that are why I have decided that to truly flourish America needs to move away from a true democratic society and into a republic.
