They need to bring back musicians with actual talent like U2 and Prince not fricking Beyonce and the Black Eyed Peas.

Beyonce and the Blacked Eyes Peas aren't musicians, they are recording artists. To call those people "musicians" would insult the actual musicians of the past and present.

Is awful live. Have you heard him recently? Did you miss the opening ceremony of the Olympics?

U2 is one of the most over-hyped bands ever. A couple good songs early in their career followed by some of the most bland rock music ever made.

If by "a couple" you mean like 15 and if by "bland rock music" you mean "three of the best and most adventuresome albums of the 90's (Achtung Baby, Zooropa, and Pop - not to mention the whole "Passengers" experiment) then yes. U2 sucks arse.

/or they are the logical "greatest band of the era" following Rolling Stones and Police.

I don't disagree that their 00's triumvirate is a bit VH1 but you need to at least give credit where it is due to U2 regarding their career from 1980 to 1998. It's not their fault they didn't die in a plane crash on the last leg of Popmart.

Bono is a douche IF you admit that Jim Morrison is a bigger one.

No. Joshua Tree is one of the Top 5 greatest albums ever. We should ask the Music Board.

I think it would have been cool to do a repeat of the U2/Green Day concert before the MNF game in 2006.

Dave Matthews would be a great show for halftime. This needs to happen soon. Here is Louisana Bayou live. This would have brought the house down in New Orleans.
